Stoked to see you dudes at Warped and show you my new TWY tattoo's. Come back to Portland soon too! Also, at Warped, you guys should play on the floor. hahah. I hate the barricade.
Rad! I can’t wait to see them. Floor shows are cool but it is getting to the point that almost every time we play a floor show, one of us gets injured badly or our shit gets broken by people being careless. We will see.
I'm super stoked for the San Diego show tonight. Just thought I'd throw that out there. But, I heard you are doing The Upsides front to back. Is this true? I love The Upsides for sure, but you can't neglect the older stuff. It's like a peacock, you gotta let it fly.
How awesome was it to play to huge crowds like that every night? You guys have come a long way from when I saw you in a basement in 2007 in Dearborn, Michigan.
It was amazing. The Kerrang/Relentless Energy tour was one of the best tours I have ever been on thus far. We definitely have come further than I had ever expected we would. For starting this band as a joke band, I never expected to leave our home town.
In response to something that someone else posted: I know the Warped line-up is only half-announced right now but if I had the means to do so, I would hit up every single day of the tour just for you guys alone. I am so stoked to see you guys finally get a slot (and a full-summer slot at that!) on Warped. I've been following TWY for a couple of years or so now and it amazes me to see how much exposure you guys have all received in that period of time. That being said, can't wait to catch you guys around this summer!
That is very nice of you to say. I’ve wanted to do the Warped Tour since I was like 13 years old so it’d awesome that that dream has finally come true. Things have definitely been building and I’m excited to see where it takes us. See you this summer!
ah damnit! :( i just missed out on tickets last year, next time you're in the u.k i'm going to get to as many shows as i can, you mind checking out my bands demo? http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/FlipSideUp/153867674653259 it's on the band page, i'm actually leaving and starting up another poppunk band but it'd be cool if you still gave the guys a listen,
Sounds great. I don’t know when we will be back but hopefully sooner than later. I’ll check your band out in a bit. Take it easy.
More of an observation than a question. If I end up going to Warped this year it'll really only be to see TWY and two or three other bands. Lineup sucks so hard this year. I am so disappointed.
Not ever band is for everyone but if you end up coming out, come say hi. I think we will probably do signings every day so I’ll be at the merch table (or where ever that is going down). If not, I’m sure we will meet at some point.
Hey man - it's Leah (from Hopeless). Just letting you know the UK misses TWY guys already! Yourself included. Was lovely to meet you. See you soon!
Awww. We miss you too (but are happy to be home). It was awesome hanging with you. Sorry I was so knackered at the Peel show. I was like dead to the world that day. After some much needed sleep I feel amazing today though. I will see you next time we come to the UK or if you are ever in the states, lemme know and we will hang!
After about 24 hours of flights and layovers I’m back in the good ol’ US of A. I am super excited to be back but the journey is far from over. Within the next 5-6 days we will only be breaking to play 2 shows while we drive home to Philly From LA. It is going to be a brutal trip but I couldn’t be more excited to be home (even if it is only for a few days).
Tomorrow we play a show in San Diego. I love it there and am excited for the nice weather. It will be the last day that I enjoy heat until about April.
My birthday is one week from today. I can’t believe that I’m going to be 25. It absolutely blows my mind. I remember thinking at 18 that 25 sounded old. I don’t feel old… I don’t know what I want to do for my birthday yet but regardless, I’m sure it will be fun.
Our tour with Man Overboard and Handguns is coming up very soon. Get tickets now before things are sold out. I know that the Philly show at the First Unitarian Church is either very close to being sold out or is sold out already. For tour dates and ticket links check out www.myspace.com/thewonderyears
We have announced today that we will be touring with Parkway Drive, You Me At Six, Bleeding Through and Confession in Australia from the 18th-28th of May. Check www.myspace.com/thewonderyears for more details.

I know that I’m missing a lot but these are what I can think of on the top of my head.
After being pretty tired for a few days, I got some much needed rest. I slept until 4PM today and it was absolutely glorious. I awoke to a crowd of people talking about getting food. Needless to say I was game. Dan, Alan, Johnny, C, Josh and I went to Pizza Hut after hitting up a few shops around town in Glasgow. Pizza Huts in the UK are much different from those in the states. They are actual sit down restaurants with a nice full italian menu. I got a small barbeque deluxe pizza and a smoothie (that’s right, I totally skipped breakfast). Dan and Alan got spotted by a few kids in Pizza Hut and took pictures with them. They did not pay their check and we got asked if we knew their whereabouts. Hoodrat kids. Gotta love it.
We walked to CineWorld after our dining experience. CineWorld is the tallest movie theatre in the world. We bought tickets for True Grit. That movie was soooooo good. It is definitely worth seeing in the theaters so check it out if you are looking for something to do on the weekend.
We reconvened at the hotel after the movie and played a few games of ultimate werewolf. I LOVE CARD GAMES!!!!!!! After a few games I got kind of tired so I headed back to the bus.
Though I was tired, I ended up straying up all night talking to Ben Jackson and Josh Lyford. I then watched the video of Nirvana playing at Reading festival. It was out of this world.
Last night in Portsmouth, England I was feeling like I was starting to get sick so I took the night easy. We played a one off show with Four Year Strong at Wedgewood Rooms on our day off from the Kerrang! tour. Before we went on stage, we had Alan Day go up and do a drum solo. It was my favorite part of the night. The show was sold out and it was amazing. It was so refreshing to see tons of people singing along and having a good time with us. I’m not saying that the Kerrang! tour isn’t fun because it’s amazing but it’s just different. We are playing to almost all new fans on the Kerrang tour which is great for us but with that said, not as many people know our songs. Four Year Strong played flawlessly as usual. After the show we I got some chips and ribs at a chippy down the street. The chips were great but the ribs were a bad choice. They tasted very weird so I opted not to finish eating them. Brush my teeth, hoped on the bus, and watched an episode of The Inbetweeners which is an english sitcom. It was very funny. I’m trying to watch another episode tonight. I am now in the dressing room with Nick, Josh, Kennedy, Soupy, Casey, and Tom Owen (Save Your Breath guitarist). We are all nerding out on our computers. We have about 30 minutes before we go on stage so I’m going to go get ready now.
