I’m a 16 year old writer and musician, and I work for thepittsburghscene.com, a great place to find Pittsburgh artists and download their music along with finding show previews and articles on local music. I also love to write about music on a bigger scale, so I made this blog to post all my music…
In Iowa a few months ago I said if you guys were jonesing for anything or wanted me to bring you some homemade baked goods you guys should hit me up before the Minnesota date. If you guys want anything let me know, and I'll bring it. See you guys on Sunday.
I was very late on this one…. It was nice seeing you though. It was cool to catch up for a bit.
Hey there, friend :]
Super awesome to finally meet some of you guys in Ventura after seeing the band a handful of times and listening to you guys for the past few years.
I told ya I'd send some photos your way after I got them posted, so I just wanted to share that with you (One of my most recent blogs. I can't post links through the tumblr ask box). I've got more, but I was just putting up a few from each band. I'd be glad to send all the Wonder Years shots your way if you've got somewhere I can send 'em to!
Can't wait to catch you guys again when you're back in SoCal next month. Now get to work on getting some band patches for that vest of mine! :]
It was nice to meet you too.
I check out the picture. I like it! Add me on facebook.com/mattbraschtwy and we will work things out through there.
I’m stoked to be back in SoCal. I absolutely love it there. See you in like a month or so.
Hey, is there any chance that you guys might play "I Was Scared And I'm Sorry" or "Leavenhouse. 11:30" live?
We have played I’m Scared and I’m Sorry a lot live. We just haven’t been playing it on Warped because we are trying to play some newer material. We will most likely never play Leavenhouse 11:30 live since it is a B-side.
I saw you guys 6 days ago at warped and already wish you guys were coming back soon. I love the Wonder Years. Any chance of you stopping in New Mexico again this year? And enjoy the rest of Warped Tour!
Thanks for coming to see us. I don’t know when we will be back to NM as of yet but we tour constantly so I’m sure it won’t be too long until we are back. I will definitely enjoy the rest of Warped. It has been amazing thus far.
Dude, what's up? I've got a question. Do you guys record as a full band in the studio, or in separate takes and dub over each other? I'm just curious, and which order do you do it in? Drums first? I'm in a new band going to the studio soon, so I need some experienced advice. Thanks a lot buddy.
We do separate takes in the studio. With this record we recorded in this order drums, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, second lead guitar, vocals intertwined throughout the process, bass, keys, backup vocals and then gang vocals.
matt!! I just heard that Set Your Goals might get dropped from their label if they dont sell enough of burning at both ends, and if they get dropped, they're gonna break up. it would be amazing if you could help promote them in any way, because set your goals is such an amazing band, and im sure your warped friends with them by now.
I haven’t heard such news. I think that is just a rumor. I do love that band and would help them with any chance given. They are some of my favorite people in the music industry. We have been friends witht hem for a very long time. They are one of the first bands that gave us a chance and took us on tour.
Hi, my names Elio. This isn't a question. I just wanted to thank you for everything you've done. I've only started listening to The Wonder Years maybe 2 weeks ago, and I absolutely Love you guys. You made me fall in love with poppunk again. I saw you guys in new york last year when you toured with Four Year Strong, but unfortunately I didn't know about you =/. But whatever, this is starting to run on, you're awesome, thank you for being awesome.
ps, you are an Amazing singer
pps. In the verse (i think) of "I wont say the lords prayer", whats going on?? lol, is there a measure of 5 in there? Sounds like something odd.
Thanks for taking the time out to listen. I appreciate all of your kind words.
Any chance you're related to some dude by the name of John Brasch? I know it's very not likely, but I used to work with him and I'm just curious. He lives in South Jersey (Cape May area), and it's been bothering me ever since I found out his last name.
