velocirapterdick asked: Can you give me a guess when you'll be doing another UK tour?
Probably not for a while since we were just over there. I’m going to say not until at least late this year or sometime next year.
dillonbeard asked: Is there any chance of Distances ever being pressed again or is it long and gone?
That is long gone. We just did that as a fun split with our friend from overseas but never intended to press a bunch of them.
dustingrant asked: So your writing a new record this summer but will you also be recording it then as well? and if so with who?
Yes, we will be writing a new record this summer. I have already started writing some riffs and whatnot. Who knows if any of it will be used but I’ve started preparing as well as some of the other guys. We have no idea when or who we will be record the record with yet.
angrywhitekidmusic asked: Welp. I like it. Quite a bit. Any chance that song will be in your Bamboozle setlist? I understand that you guys don't have a whole lot of time to relax lately so again, it's fine if it isn't, just wondering.
Yea, we won’t have time to practice it before Bamboozle so we won’t be playing “Me Vs. the Highway.” See ya at Bamboozle though. I’m excited to play that fest. I’ve never been before.
usfoolsthathavenomeaning asked: According to Bamboozle the afterparty is now a BBQ at the stone pony lot, not on the beach anymore. Also I'd love to hear Living Room Song and the Hey Julie cover there.
I have no idea what is going on with that afterparty. I feel like it has been changed around like a million times. Sorry but I don’t think the “Hey Julie” cover will be happening. It has been years since we played it and everyone is doing there own thing while we are home so we don’t really have time to practice.
angrywhitekidmusic asked: Hey, just listened to some of those Premier songs. Is it inaccurate to say that Soupy's vocals on the new song "Me Vs. The Highway" sound fairly similar to those in "In The Spotlight Of A Senior Year"? Definitely not a bad thing, just wondering what you think.
I get where you see that. Nick also sings harmonies in that song which gives it more of a Premier vibe.

If you’re into pop-punk, odds are that The Wonder Years have become one of your favorite bands in recent years. And if you’re like me, then you’ve likely burned through their entire catalog by now. Turns out that there is one last little known corner to turn to when in need of your Wonder Years fix between new releases. As some of you may know, Soupy and the gang were all in a band together prior to The Wonder Years. The band was called The Premier, and you can find two little-known EP’s that they put out years ago on Purevolume here. There’s not a lot to say about this band with what little information that’s available about them is on their page. What you can find though is a few promo pics and live shows, but no videos and I have no idea how many shows they even played.
The band consisted of Soupy, Nick, Matt, and a different drummer instead of Mike. The biggest difference in this band from The Wonder Years (aside from the genre they played), is that Soupy wasn’t exactly the sole front man that he is in The Wonder Years. He played bass in the band, and vocal duties were split more equally between Soupy, Nick, and Matt. Also, unlike The Wonder Years, Nick did the vast majority of the song writing. Aside from Soupy’s vocals, the music itself doesn’t hold much of a resemblance to The Wonder Years, either. Instead of pop-punk, I suppose alternative would be the best way to describe it. However, the band labeled themselves as indie and even emo, which is something I’m sure they’d regret doing today. The longer recording, The Live Like You’re Dying EP, hardly can even hold a candle to their current work, but it’s interesting to hear a more experimental side of the band. I find it reassuring to know that they got their experimental/alternative type thing out of their system early on. I hope this means that we can expect them not to “mature” in the same way that blink have in recent years. I, personally, miss the slight heaviness that the band had on their work prior to The Upsides, and while Live Like You’re Dying is no Get Stoked On It, there are a few screams and heavy part on it. The song “Top Ten Reasons to Lose Your Faith In Mankind” has the most metal screams the band has ever used thus far into their career, almost charting into deathcore territory for a second before the song cuts back into Soupy.
I just found this. Thanks for the hype but there are a few things that are inaccurate about your post.
In this article you suggest that there was a drummer that wasn’t one of us in The Wonder Years. I in fact played drums in this band and not guitar. You also left out the 4th member’s name. His name is Dave Hughes and he played guitar.
In regards to the genre comment, I don’t regret calling our band indie or emo because that is exactly what it is.
kylegarchar asked: Hey MattBrasch, Are we going to hang out at bamboozle in a few weeks? xoxoxox <3<3<3<3<3
I’m sure that I’ll see ya there. See ya in a few weeks.
